Clark graduation will be held in the RV Inn Style Resorts Amphitheater on June 16 at 6:30 p.m.
As of May 20, 492 students applied for graduation, with more on the way. “Before the actual event, the number I mentioned will increase,” said Peg Este, Clark’s credential evaluator.
Cashier manager Dan Ellerston said that with all the caps and gowns ordered, he expects about 500 to 600 students participating in graduation this year.
Eligible students are still able to apply for graduation and purchase caps and gowns until the deadline on June 3rd.
As of writing, confirmed speakers for the 2022 ceremony include President Dr. Karin Edwards, Trustee Board Chair Jeanne Bennet, Suzanne Southerland, president of the Clark faculty union, and Vice President of Instruction Paul Wickline. Applications for involvement in the opening remarks are now closed.
The ceremony will begin with Last Regiment of Syncopated Drummers and opening remarks from the speakers mentioned.
The event may go on for two hours, said Golder. “I am sure the uniqueness of the class of 2022 and all they have overcome through the pandemic will be highlighted.”
