Faith and Majesty Smith, known under their stage title “Faith and Majesty,” look back on their six-year musical journey, having created an inclusive and judgment-free space with their music’s emotionally resonant lyrics and socially conscious attitudes.

“The music industry has so many layers, one I’d like to point out is based on what I’m seeing, things are feeling and looking a lot more inclusive,” said Faith Smith. “If you don’t see the representation that you’re wanting or that you feel is lacking in the industry, you can create that”

Since taking the leap into the music industry, the duo have continued to grow with the goal of putting the emotions of their listeners first.

“A goal that [we’re] reaching, and will continue to strive to do, is making our listeners feel seen and understood.” Majesty Smith said. “Some of my favorite artists and songs are so relatable to my life at the present moment and it helps to feel less alone and remember that we all are just figuring out how this life thing goes!”

Faith and Majesty will perform on April 30, 2022, at Laurelthirst Pub in Portland, opening for the local band Smile Pile. The show is free and open to the public starting at 9 p.m.
