Despite Gov. Inslee dropping Washington’s mask mandate March 12, Clark announced to maintain the mandate campus-wide through the end of winter term. Clark has not yet decided whether or not to continue requiring masks for spring term.

Clark sent out a survey to the college community on Feb. 24 containing several questions about what mask guidelines look like starting in spring term. Both students and staff are encouraged to complete the anonymous survey.

Clark spokesperson Hannah Erickson noted that along with looking at the survey’s results, Clark’s COVID-19 Response Management Team is also paying attention to guidance from federal, state and local authorities before definitively announcing a decision.

“The college has made a commitment to provide an update about the college’s mask policy by March 18,” Erickson said. “In advance of spring term, which begins April 4.”
