The Todd and Maxine McClaskey Culinary Institute at Clark College held a drive through cookout today, in celebration of Juneteenth.
Organized by culinary professor chef Earl Frederick, the cookout featured a live DJ and free barbecue meals prepared by students in the program. Frederick said the event coincided with the end of the first barbecue class they’ve offered. He said it was a nice way to recognize the holiday, as well as the end of a tough school year.
