Tower Mall Community COVID-19 Testing Site Set to Shift into Vaccination Site

After months of serving Clark County, the Tower Mall community COVID-19 testing site has closed.

According to Clark County Public Health senior communication specialist Marissa Armstrong, the site has been open since early January 2020 but has shifted its focus to vaccinations due to the decline in need for COVID-19 tests in the area.

“There are more options and less demand [for COVID-19 tests],” said Armstrong.

While Tower Mall Plaza will no longer offer free COVID-19 tests, there are local community sites offering drive-thru or walk-up testing.

Tower Mall Plaza community vaccination site will continue to offer free vaccinations Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, the site is closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

Walk-in vaccinations are allowed during operation hours, but appointments are encouraged, according to Armstrong.
