Clark’s theater department presents its production of “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” on Nov. 11-12 and Nov. 17-19. The play, directed by Mark Owsley, is about bickering siblings Vanya and Sonia whose movie-star sister Masha makes a surprise visit with her boyfriend Spike.
The play, written by Christopher Durang, premiered in 2012 before moving on to Broadway and winning a Tony award for best play in 2013.
“It’s a very funny play,” said drama professor Gene Biby, who stars as Vanya. Linda Owsley, Kennedy Marvin and Matt Brown play Sonia, Masha and Spike respectively.
The show starts at 7:30 each night at the Decker Art Theatre in Frost Arts Center. Tickets can be bought at the bookstore, with prices starting at $9 for students with ID.
