Children’s Dental Health Day

The Clark College Dental Hygiene Department hosted “Children’s Dental Health Day” on Saturday at 8 a.m. in the Firstenburg Dental Hygiene Education and Care Center on the main campus.

According to Clark’s website, the event was free and provided children under 18 with a variety of dental services, including cleanings, sealants, X-rays and select emergency procedures.

The clinic’s waiting room was crowded with families from around the Vancouver area who had scheduled appointments for their children. “Their aunt told us about it,” said Sarah Green, who brought her two sons into the clinic for a teeth cleaning. Green said the boys’ aunt found out about the event on Facebook.

According to the dental clinic’s information page, services at the clinic are provided by dental students at Clark under the supervision of licensed professionals.
