‘Project: Love Your Body’ Promotes Positive Self-Image

Clark will hold its first “Project: Love Your Body” event on Feb. 24 at noon in the Gaiser Student Center.

The event is sponsored by the Activities Programming Board and will feature activities designed to promote a healthy body image. Clark counselors Angie I. Cruz and Bevyn Rowland will be speaking about the on-campus resources open to students struggling with a negative self-image.

Courtney Braddock, the event director, said she was inspired to create this event by her own battle with a negative body image last year.

“We want students to learn a healthy way to view themselves and know that there is help available,” Braddock said.
