North Bank Gallery to Host Art Talk

An “Artist Talk” will be held Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. at the North Bank Gallery in Vancouver as part of its Art Talk Series.

The speaker, Kaila Farrell-Smith, a contemporary visual artist whose work focuses on Native and Indigenous culture, will be speaking about her experiences with both painting and sculptural installation artistry.

“Those who attend will learn more about what contemporary indigenous art practice looks like,” Farrell-Smith said. “They will also hear more about my process and journey of professional development as an artist.”

The hour-long talk will include a slide presentation showing Farrell-NSmith’s current and past artwork, along with collaborative group projects and art residency programs.
Farrell-Smith currently has an exhibit at Vancouver City Hall, on display January through March.
