Comic Creators Visit Clark

By Liepa Bračiulytė in Campus

Five local comic artists and authors will visit Clark to answer questions on May 18 from 10 a.m. to noon in PUB 161.

The panel is in conjunction with The Craft of Comics learning community, which is a combination of Creative Writing and Drawing II.

“The goal of this discussion panel is to let students hear about comic creations from professionals,” said Grant Hottle, who teaches Drawing II in The Craft of Comics learning community. He added that audience members can ask about the artists’ and authors’ work, how they entered the industry and what role deadlines have in their work.

The event is free and open to the public.

This event is part of the Subtext Literary Festival, sponsored by the Columbia Writers Series & Clark Art Talks, according to the Clark website.
