For the first time in Clark College’s history, Model United Nations brought back two awards from the Security Council Crisis Conference last December. Selah Zichterman and James Eccles won the Distinguished Delegate Award when Clark’s Model UN class attended the conference at the University of Washington.
“I did my best to represent Clark College,” Bryce Ruppe, a student and participant in the Model UN club, said. “The Model UN is a great way to educate students about foreign affairs,” said Ruppe.
Model UN is both a class and a club. Students play the roles of UN member states, following their rules and policies while solving world crises.
The club is hoping more students will join this quarter, said Joe Cavalli, director of Clark Model UN.
The club meets Wednesdays from 2:30 to 4:20 p.m. in Hannah Hall 119.
