Clark Places Sixth in Tree Competition

By Drew Telegin in Campus

Clark College placed sixth this year in the Arbor Day Foundation Tree Contest.

In the past four Arbor Day Contests, Clark has placed fifth or better.

Tim Harper, Clark instructor and member of the Campus Tree Advisory Committee, said he was still impressed with Clark’s placement. “We were securely in sixth place and that made us feel pretty good considering we were up against some much larger schools like Arizona State, Colorado State and others,” he said.

Harper also said the Campus Tree Advisory Committee is already looking at how Clark can place higher in the next Arbor Day Contest.

The contest achieved the goal of raising interest in the trees on campus said Harper.
