Clark College will participate in the Great ShakeOut on Oct. 16 at 10:16 a.m. to help students, faculty and staff know how to react when an earthquake strikes.
This will be the second year Clark College has participated in this statewide event, according to Mark Fennell, director of Risk Management. In 2013 about 870,000 Washingtonians participated in this exercise.
Fennell said the Great ShakeOut will take less than 15 minutes.
Fennell said during the drill all participants should “drop, cover and hold” for 30-45 seconds then report to assembly areas. The Emergency Building Coordinators will then announce “all clear.”
