Clark College is surveying students on their preferences for the 2021 Graduation Commencement Ceremony before they make an official decision in early April. Students have until March 13 to share their thoughts by completing the survey.
Due to COVID-19, the college will not be holding its traditional ceremony at the Clark County Amphitheater. In an email sent to students by Peg Estes from credential evaluations, the school said they are looking for ways to safely celebrate their graduating students.
“We understand the important significance this event holds for our graduates and guests, this is a huge milestone that deserves the utmost pomp and circumstance,” Estes said via email. “While we can’t hold the large celebration we would hope to for our graduates, it’s our goal to celebrate the Class of 2021 in a safe and healthy way that does not diminish your accomplishment.”
Students who are completing degree and certificate requirements in Fall 2020, Winter 2021, Spring 2021 or Summer 2021 are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony scheduled for June 17. Students who graduated in 2020 are also welcome to participate.
