A Clark College Foundation employee has tested positive for COVID-19, according to an email sent to faculty and staff Monday, Sept. 28.
The Foundation employee tested positive Saturday, Sept. 26 and was last on campus Sept. 23. Exposure to other community members is considered unlikely due to COVID-19 safety protocols in place at Clark College.
This is the third confirmed case at Clark College since the start of the fall quarter. A faculty member tested positive on Sept. 25 and a Culinary Arts student tested positive last week.
In the email sent to staff, Emergency Manager Jeff Kaliner said there is no connection between this case and the confirmed case in the Culinary Arts department.
“As always, out of an abundance of caution, if you have any COVID-19 like symptoms, you should remain at home and immediately reach out to your primary care doctor,” Kaliner wrote.
Students and faculty without a primary care doctor who have symptoms are encouraged to contact Ashley Schumacher, nurse practitioner at Clark’s Health Services. Schumacher can be reached via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or over the phone at (360) 992-2679.
