Saturday Afternoon’s Aftermath of Portland’s Protest for George Floyd

The evening of Friday May 29 a peaceful protest was held in Peninsula Park for George Floyd who was suffocated to death in police custody on May 26. That same night, the peaceful protest escalated into an aggressive riot that resulted in looting, arson, vandalism, and over all destruction throughout the city. The city of Portland was quick to clean up the damage the following morning while the streets were filled with people taking pictures and getting a good look at the aftermath of the chaos.
