Instructors and Clark administration have reached a tentative contract agreement after two days of cancelled classes due to a strike. Instructors will meet to vote on the offer tomorrow at 1p.m.
Suzanne Southerland, the union president, said the details of the offer will not be released until after union members have a chance to review the offer. When reached by phone Tuesday evening after the agreement was reached, Southerland said she was really proud of the union membership and the strength and courage it took to strike. “Ultimately it was for the students of Clark College and for the college,” Southerland said.
Classes at Clark will still be cancelled on Wednesday, but by early afternoon, there could be news of the strike officially ending.
Sandra Fowler-Hill Interim President updated the college community via email. “In reaching an agreement, Clark College can get back to what we do best: serving students,” she wrote.
