Archer Gallery will be displaying collaborative work that artist in residence, Brenda Mallory and students created together.
May 2, will be Mallory’s last day at Clark and Archer Gallery will be hosting a reception and artist talk from 2 – 4pm. The talk will begin at 2:15.
During Mallory’s two week residency she has been very busy. “It’s kind of been fun to work with these students, going from class to class, although it has been very intense,” she said.
In class and around campus Mallory worked students and shared about her about her path to becoming an artist. Mallory did not go to art school until 20 years after her first degree, and said she had not met any working artists until then.
In addition to creating art with students Mallory said she thought it is good for students to be able to talk to an artists in addition to their teachers.
On Wednesday with just one day left at Clark, Mallory along with students and staff were busy putting the finishing touches on the collaborative work which will be shown until May 10.
