Winter quarter at Clark College means cooler temperatures as students get back into the rhythm of classes. While the chilly weather does call for warmer clothing, these penguins aren’t letting the cold freeze their style.

Caitlyn Pedroza typically looks for ‘old-timey and comfy’ things when she shops. She’s into vintage glamour which she finds by shopping at places such as Goodwill and The Treasure Trove a consignment shop in Orchards. There she hunts down old fashioned, yet adorable styles. Pedroza’s favorite thing about fashion is that she is able to have fun with it.

“My Marilyn Monroe shirt is my favorite,” she said. “I love being able to express who I am through clothing.”

Elena Lobanova, a Graphic Design major, is no stranger to fashion. Lobanova even models for fun sometimes. When it gets colder out, Lobanova makes sure she is cute and comfy.

“For sure I like to be comfy, and cozy. I love high-necks, and I love things that are lightweight and not too thick,” she said.

Lobanova loves to shop at stores that are sporty, even though it may be considered ‘basic.’ Lobanova said she is very much her own person, but she does draw inspiration from Asian pop culture, saying that she “loves it.” She also loves shopping at stores like Ross and Macy’s.

Lobanova’s favorite thing about fashion is being able to do her own thing.

“I like being able to make my own mark on fashion,” she said. If Lobanova had to give any fashion tips out, she would say “just do you.”
