ZooLights, the Oregon Zoo’s annual winter festival takes place from Nov. 21, 2018 through Jan. 5, 2019. On display is are more than 1.5 million lights to view as you walk around the zoo. Along with visiting the mountain goats,
elephants and other animals during your visit, you can hitch a ride on the train or grab an elephant ear at one of the many available food carts.
The holiday season can be expensive, but ZooLights can be an affordable experience for you and your friends and family by attending one of the zoo’s value nights from Dec. 10 to 13.Admission on value nights is $12.95 for adults (12 to 64), $7.95 for youths (3 to 11) and $10.95 for seniors (65 and older). Children 2 two and under are free. If you want to ride the train each ticket is an additional $4.
In addition to value nights, the Oregon also offers a program called “Zoo for All,” which is available Dec. 10 to 13.The program offers $5 admission tickets for up to 6 six people with a valid state EBT card. There are additional ticket discounts if you ride the MAX to the zoo. Parking at Washington Park is $2 per hour or $8 for the day. There is also overflow
parking with a shuttle to the zoo.
ZooLights runs 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on value and “Zoo For All” nights. The zoo grounds stay open for one hour after the gates close.
