Retired Sgt. Major. Kelly Jones will be speaking about the changes in women’s role in the military through her years of service on May 19 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Marshall House.
Jones, manager of Clark’s Veterans Resource Center, will be speaking through her personal experience of 26 years in the military and three deployments.
Jones said she never thought she would see women this close to equality in the military in her lifetime. “Women have come a long way,” Jones said. “But we still have a long way to go.”
The event will be open to questions and discussion and is free to the public.
