The Activities Programming Board held “Paws and Unwind,” an event that featured therapy dogs to help students relax during the week before finals.
Four dogs were provided by the Keaton Coffey Project, “K9’s for Vets,” on Monday in PUB 161 from noon to 2 p.m. The dogs are trained service dogs that work with veterans struggling with PTSD and other disabilities, according to ASCC Activities Director Courtney Braddock.
Play-doh, coloring sheets and healthy snacks were also provided, while calming music played to add to the stress-relieving atmosphere. The event was free and open to all students.
This was the second time Clark held an event like this, after having hosted “Having a Ruff Day?” also with the Keaton Coffey Project, the week before finals of Spring Quarter 2015, according to Braddock.
“I just wanted to give students an opportunity to ‘de-stress’ and have fun before having to work hard on finals next week,” Braddock said
