“White Like Me”

A free showing of the documentary “White Like Me,” a film about race, racism and white privilege in America, was held in Gaiser Student Center on Thursday from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

The documentary explained white privilege, its impact on society and the duty of those not of color to educate others on the topic.

After the documentary, the APB Educational Events Coordinator Cassii Lisle along with three other students held an open forum to answer questions about white privilege. The Diversity Center’s Felis Peralta and members of the audience asked questions, sparking a heated debate between the audience and the panel.

Lisle said they strive to bring more social justice education events to Clark.

“For me, it’s really important to recognize that I have it easier and I don’t even have to think about it,” Lisle said.
