ASCC will host a viewing party for the presidential Democratic debate on March 9 and the Republican debate on March 10 at 6 p.m. in PUB 258.
The Democratic debate will be held in Miami between candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. The Republican debate will also be held in Florida with further details yet to come, as reported by the Washington Post.
This will be the first time that Clark has held an event for a presidential debate. The viewing is free and pizza will be served at 5:30 p.m. according to ASCC Activities Director Courtney Braddock.
Braddock said she hopes this event will encourage students to get involved in politics and be a part of the changes they wish to see.
“I really want students to find their passion in civic engagement,” Braddock said.
