Clark Women Look to Take On Panthers at Home

The Clark women’s basketball team awaits its next league game against the Portland Community College Panthers on Wednesday night.

After a 75-45 win Saturday over the Southwestern Oregon Lakers, the Penguins (10-5) are preparing for their upcoming 5:30 p.m. home game against the Panthers (2-11).

“If we stay healthy, we’re going to be in good shape,” said head coach Al Aldridge.

Armed with a plan, the Penguins played an aggressive game against the Lakers allowing them to build a solid lead early in the game. “We played really well, defended extremely well and we were up in points for three quarters, which is pretty amazing in college,” Aldridge said.

A win for the Penguins on Wednesday will give them a three-game winning streak, and tie them with Clackamas for third place in the NWAC southern division standings.
