The Clark College Commencement Planning Committee is encouraging this year’s graduates to apply to speak at the commencement ceremony by 3 p.m on April 20.
Students must submit the application to Special Projects and Activities Manager Michelle Golder at the President’s Office in Baird 101.
After reviewing the applications, the committee will schedule applicant try-outs May 12-14, Golder said.
“We look for someone who has drafted a good speech that really represents and touches all the graduates,” she said.
The co-committee of the planning committee will notify the chosen speaker by May 18.
The commencement ceremony will be held on June 18 at the Clark County Event Center at 7 p.m., according to the Clark website.
