Clark’s men’s soccer team remains undefeated at home with a 5-0 win over the Southwestern Oregon Community College Lakers Wednesday night.
Coach Biniam Afenegus said the team played a good first half, but slowed down in the second before they regained focus.
The Penguins had 17 shots on the goal in the first half alone, compared to the Lakers’ two.
Freshman Bernardino Ayala-Jimenez scored a hat trick with three goals during the first 45 minutes of play, including one from a penalty kick in the 43rd minute.
The Penguins’ next game is Oct. 30 against Pierce College in Lakewood, Wash.
